Should you go streaking? The pros and cons.

Streaking=fully clothed, doing a “don’t break the chain” challenge with movement. Some people also do it with meals like a #Whole100.

Pros:

1. You’re taking daily action!

2. You’re pushing through excuses!

3. You’re finally moving forward on your personal goals!

Cons:

1. The daily action might not actually be sustainable beyond the 30 or 100 days.

2. You’re sacrificing sleep and social occasions to do the thing. Shoot- life doesn’t feel so pleasant.

3. If you miss a day within the 30 or 100 days, you say F it to the whole thing and don’t do anything.

4. If you do make it to day 30 or 100, you feel nervous about ever missing a day again. You’re coming from a place of fear rather than empowerment.

5. If you do make it to day 30 or 100, you’re excited to stop! You don’t have to do the thing anymore! And it takes you months or year to ever do anything again.

A sustainable option:

1. Pick a small habit that will help you feel good/not gross. Maybe a 1 mile walk every day or a 5P salad at lunch every day.

2. Pick a time in your day that you’re going to do it.

3. Go do it and color the 365 Habit Tracker after you do it.

4. When you miss a day, LEARN from your mistake instead of berating yourself, and then go do it the next day.

You’re still consistent. You’re still taking daily action.

But WHEN YOU’RE AN IMPERFECT HUMAN AND YOU MESS UP, you just keep going.

Control is high, but warmth is high too.
