Yay, finally! I went on a morning walk with my mom. Back in the early days of the pandemic, my mom and I started walking together. She was in te burbs, and I was in Chicago, but every morning, we'd head out, hop on the phone together, and walk.
Sometimes I'd bring Jameson.
Sometimes she'd bring Lucky.
Sometimes it was just us.
But we'd walk.
There's something so great about moving your body with a loved one. You chat about things you wouldn't chat about if just sitting next to each other on the couch with your mini computers.
This morning, we bundled up in our winter coats, scarf, hat, gloves, and headed out for a 30-minute walk together. We chatted about the Christmas scavenger hunt. How clever my nephews are. How funny our dogs are.
Easy advice- make it a daily habit to head out for a walk with your family.
